About Us
Our History
Calm Computing was founded in 2012 to bring dependable, down-to-earth tech support to small businesses, homes, and municipal offices across Western Massachusetts. From the beginning, the goal has been simple: pair deep technical knowledge with the kind of personal, attentive service you don’t often find in the IT world.
We’ve structured Calm Computing to be right-sized and responsive — large enough to support complex environments, yet personal enough to give every client the attention they deserve. You get a knowledgeable partner who’s agile, dependable, and easy to reach.
For our residential clients, we bring the same level of professionalism and care right into the home. Whether it’s strengthening Wi-Fi coverage, setting up new devices, securing family accounts, or helping you feel more confident with everyday technology, we make the process simple and stress-free. We take the time to explain things clearly, respect your space, and make sure everything works the way it should — so your home technology quietly supports your life instead of complicating it.
With a strong background in technology, training, and real-world troubleshooting, we’re known for our creativity, steady problem-solving, and thorough approach. Whether it’s a quick fix or a more complex project, we work efficiently without cutting corners, and we prioritize your satisfaction every step of the way.
For Your Work
We match the right technologies to your goals and budget, then keep them running smoothly long after installation. Our focus is long-term reliability, not quick fixes.
At Calm Computing, we take the time to sit down with you, understand your environment, and map out solutions that actually fit — nothing more, nothing less. Every recommendation is tailored to your needs, your workflows, and your comfort level.
Whether you’re looking to boost productivity, strengthen security, or streamline day-to-day operations, we can help. Our work includes upgrading wireless networks, servers, and computers; modernizing software and backup systems; implementing VoIP phone solutions; and providing training on new tools. The goal is simple: make your technology easier, faster, and more cost-effective so you can focus on what matters.
For Your Home
We’re here to help above all else, and that starts with meeting you right where you’re most comfortable in your home. In a relaxed, no-pressure setting, we can troubleshoot issues, answer questions, and get your technology running the way it should without the stress or confusion that often comes with tech support.
At home, we can assist with just about any everyday technology challenge. From fixing printers and setting up new computers to improving Wi-Fi coverage, configuring smart TVs and streaming devices, securing family accounts, installing smart-home gear, or untangling that mystery cable situation behind the desk. We make sure everything works smoothly and reliably.
We also offer one-on-one tutoring for anyone who wants to build confidence with their devices or learn something new. We’re patient by design, we take the time to explain things clearly, and break down concepts in ways that actually make sense.
On-Site & In-Home
Whether you're running a business or looking for help in your home, we provide hands-on support. Our technicians come to troubleshoot issues, set up equipment, improve networks, and make sure everything is operating the way it should. From offices to living rooms, we bring personalized service directly to your door.
Remote Support
Our remote assistance lets us help you quickly without needing an on-site visit. With your permission, we securely connect to your computer, troubleshoot issues, install updates, adjust settings, and answer everyday questions. It’s a simple, convenient way to get fast, personalized support from a team that already knows your setup.
Specialized Support
We help businesses get the most out of their specialized software. With years of experience supporting tools like AutoCAD and other construction, engineering, and design applications, our technicians handle setup, updates, and everyday troubleshooting. We keep your software running smoothly so your team can keep projects moving.
